This article analyses the sexist socialising of children in the church. It is based on theoretical analyses of sexist socialisation, and on empirical research conducted in the Sunday Schools of the CPSA in the Johannesburg dioce. The nature, methods and agents of socialisation are discussed as are the conscious and unconscious forms of socialisation.
