A 'moratorium' on, missions and missionaries has been discussed frequently in recent years, especially in Africa. The churches in Africa want to free themselves from the shackles of Western domination, whereas the churches in the West often argue that a 'moratorium' is not feasible, simply because the task of evangelising Africa is still far from complete.
