In Dr. Maimela's paper there is a strong emphasis on the supposed harmful effect of the ""Pauline"" view of man. When I read his evaluation of Paul's anthropology I thought, ""Poor, persecuted Paul! In his own time he was persecuted from city to city by his own people, because he thought so highly of God's renewing power that he believed it extended even to the Gentiles. In recent times Paul the Jewish patriot has been accused of being the first anti-Semite. And now he has taken over from Dr. Eiselen the role of founder of apartheid!""
