Mr. Theodore Mackenzie F.R.A.S. of Grahamstown has prepared the following summary of a very interesting article by H.N. Russell in which he sets out the possibility that the dense clouds covering the surface of Venus are composed of formaldehyde. Canon E.B. Ford F.R.A.S. has communicated an account of observations of Jupiterï¿½s satellites made with the 27 inch refractor at the Lament Hussey Observatory at Bloemfontein. He used a x24-6 eyepiece. Mr Hirst discussed ways in which a star can convert its mass into energy.
