oa MNASSA : Monthly Notes of the Astronomical Society of South Africa - Visual binaries with known periods and small observable arcs

Abstract

The application of our best optical power in modern double star surveys - the 36-inch Lick refractor in the northern-hemisphere, the Bloemfontein 27-inch and Johannesburg 26 1/2-inch in the south - has resulted in the discovery, of a class of binaries which present unusual difficulties to the orbit computer.
