Abstract

Observations of HR 7578 undertaken at the Nigel Observatory over a number of years have determined that if the system undergoes eclipse it is a partial one and the light drop in is less than 0.02mag. The rotation period of HR 7578 is also variable but centered around 16.35 days, much longer than the expected 5 to 8 days. The amplitude of the light variation seems to indicate a cycle period of the order of 30.5 years.
