Moneyweb's PERSONAL FINANCE October 2005 11 THE Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) appeared in headlines again throughout August, as the deadline by which companies had to submit information manuals to the Human Rights Commission was set for the end of that month. Failure to comply, according to the Act, could result in either a fine having to be paid, or imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years.
