Abstract

A few years ago when SARS first introduced e-filing, some clever wag circulated a mock-up of a supposedly-simpler income tax return. Dubbed the EZ-2-DO form, it comprised two lines in addition to one's name and tax reference number. The first line was a question which read, "How much did you earn during this tax year?", while the second line simply read, "Send it to us".
