This paper highlights some common problem in religious education and provides an approach which can make such problems less damaging. The paper reports a small scale survey among student teachers in Botswana on their views about an approach that can significantly defuse problems of indoctrination and fundamentalism. The research findings indicate that there exists a good understanding among student teachers under study that Rï¿½ curriculum taught to them would contribute towards achieving global educational values The paper also presents research findings, which decries a RE curriculum that exclusively presents one particular stance of living.
