oa Professional Nursing Today - Are you paying enough attention to ADHD? : clinical

Abstract

ADHD is the most common neurobehavioural disorder in children, affecting from 4 to 12% of school children. Asking basic screening questions should be part of any paediatric consultation. These questions could include: How is your child doing at school? Is he / she happy at school? Are there any problems with learning that you or the teacher has seen? Are you concerned with any behavioural problems in school, at home, or when your child is playing with friends? Is your child having problems completing classwork or homework?
