oa SA Pharmacist's Assistant - Aspirin : medicine cupboard

Abstract

Aspirin belongs to a group of medicine called nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs. It inhibits the production of chemicals known as prostaglandins. They are released in the body in response to an injury or illness, causing pain and inflammation (swelling), and when released in the brain, they may cause fever (a high temperature).
