oa SA Pharmacist's Assistant - Halitosis : review

Abstract

Halitosis or bad breath is described as any detectable and unpleasant odour which is emitted from the mouth. Halitosis can be an embarrassing condition, and in some cases even causes anxiety for the patient. Products such as mouthwashes, chewing gum and mints are available to combat bad breath. However, many of these products are only temporary measures because often they do not address the cause of the problem.
