It's that time of year again when the nights are becoming shorter, the days longer and the weather warmer. There are no more excuses to lie in front of the fire. It is time to embrace spring and to become active. Forget the "all or nothing" approach and instead, be smart! Many exercise-induced injuries are caused by attempting to participate in the same level of activity undertaken before winter started. To avoid injury, it is best to start slowly, and then to progressively increase the duration and exertion level of the exercise.
