Abstract

The trainer that I used for my pharmacist's assistants went to a lot of trouble to make the material relevant and interesting, but as with most pedagogical endeavours, there were modules that seemed totally irrelevant or cognitively dissonant with the lowly status accorded to a basic PA, i.e. to sell only S1's, and yet she is required to be competent enough to evaluate a wide range of products, write SOP's, give advice, and compile a mini-portfolio of research.
