oa SA Pharmaceutical Journal - New regulations in Namibia : industry in-site

Abstract

South African legislation that was applicable at the time of independence of Namibia remained applicable until such time as the Namibian legislature promulgated its own legislation. Namibia has recently passed legislation dealing with control of medicines, and as virtually 100% of the medicines in the private market of Namibia come from South Africa, and approximately 50% of the medicines in the public sector, it was vital that the regulatory sector of the South African pharmaceutical industry should be informed of prospective changes.
