Trust - the defining factor : Part 1 : what and why? : management
In the previous two articles, we considered the concept of managing stakeholder relationships. It was evident that doing so effectively would improve the chances of strategic success, reveal opportunities, create a favourable working environment and even improve professional status. We now explore the one thing that is at the heart of all relationships - Trust. We start by asking about the meaning of trust and its relevance to the practice of pharmacy. Later articles will consider ways and means to improve trust. However, unless it is accepted that building trusting relationships is a critical success factor, guidance on how to do so will not be taken seriously.
