Abstract

Intranasally administered corticosteroids have a wide margin of safety and are the mainstay of treatment for patients with moderate to severe allergic rhinitis. Intranasal corticosteroids are most effective at controlling underlying allergic inflammation and providing relief of symptoms that are associated with both early- and late-phase allergic responses.
