Abstract

The problem of the differential diagnosis of intestinal helminths with ""hookworm-like"" eggs is discussed, together with details of the use of the test tube cultivation (or Harada-Mori) technique for the differential diagnosis of Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus and Ternidens deminutus. An attempt has been made to standardise the identification key and figures with those of Sasa et al. and Hsieh.
