Abstract

Fifty patients with carcinoma of the oesophagus were reviewed as regards their radiological appearances. It was found that the commonest site was, the middle third of the oesophagus. Fistulae were seen only in the middle third of the oesophagus. No evidence of spill was shown on plain X-rays of the chest in cases of fistulae. Superior mediastinal enlargement was observed in 11 cases.
