Abstract

1. Although some Rhodesian strains of malaria parasites are resistant to the biguanides, Cycloguanil Pamoate is a useful repository antimalarial drug and will give some degree of protection against malaria for up to four months. After eight months all protective effect is apparently lost. 2. It was noticed that P. ovale infections tended to recur earlier than those due to P. falciparum.
