Abstract

A coloured boy of six year is showing features simiIar to six previously reported cases is here desicribed. These are mental retardation, microcephaly, jerky puppet-like movements, abnormal tongue protusion and consistent bouts of unprovoked laughter. The term �Happy Puppet Syndrome"" has been applied by Bower 'and Jeavons, but cases were first descriptionbed by Angelman. The aetiology is unknown ,and investigations in the present case have heen unrewarding
