Abstract

A colon graft perforated into the pericardium resulting in pericarditis and haemopericardium from left atrial perforation (presumahly from ulceration). This occurred in a five-year old male African child who presented with haematemesis and melaena and in whom a colon graft had been performed for acquired oesophageal stenosis from reflux oesophagiotis associated with hiatus hernia.
