Abstract

A high proportion of the headaches presenting in practice are often dismissed as of purely psychosomatic origin, and are treated rather less than satisfactorily under this label. This paper expresses the view that many such cases are in fact due to pathological causes capable of relatively easy cure, and that the associated neuroses are more often than not, purely secondary. Some of the syndromes encountered in Rhodesian country practice are briefly discussed.
