Abstract

The industrial development and scientific discoveries changed the everyday life of the people of Britain and resulted in expanding population and the growth of big towns, like Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, this meant an increased demand for labour. At the same time poverty also increased. This article details the sanitary reform and the role of the preventative specialist in Victorian Britain.
