Abstract

A practical method is descriptionbed for estimating the number of African women who are family planned from the total number of clinic attendances. Applying this method, it is estimated that 20,3 percent of urban women in the 15 - 49 age group and 2,7 percent of the rural women were reliably planning their families during the period September, 1974, to August, 1975.
