Abstract

Boredom is an unpleasant feeling from which most people seem to suffer at one time or another. To raise the question: Who has never been bored? Would be rather like asking: Who has never yawned? or Who has never heaved a sigh? The circumstances in which a sense of tedium emerges are diverse and, since the sentiment tends to take on the colouring of the environing conditions and the prevailing subjective mood, an exact general descriptionption of its nature is well-nigh impossible.
