Abstract

A study of the literature indicates that Parkinson's disease is seen throughout Africa and further that it would seem to' be rarely encountered judging from the numbers reported. Drs. Muwazi and Trowell (1944) encountered two African cases in Kampala ( 1940-42). Hutton ( 1956) also in Uganda, states that the disease is seen sporadically.
