Abstract

I t will be seen that ,these .are all simple pieces of homely advice often overlooked by the surgeon. The surgeon who advises his patients on the after-care reaps the benefit of grateful patients, for the simple reason that the patient's veins either will not recur, or will take a much longer, time to do so, if properly looked after. It is surprising how quickly further vein radicles appear in those patients who fail to take care of their legs in the post-operative period.
