Abstract

The laudable aim of this booklet is to suggest ways in which the health services of this country can be improved and extended to meet the needs of the whole population - not merely those who are able to pay or live near urban hospital services. In their basic proposals, however, there is little that is really new except a reckless insistence on entrusting the health of the rural, uneducated majority to the hands of rural, uneducated Village Health Workers.
