Abstract

Urinary calculi (renal, ureteral and vesical) are seen very much less often in the African as compared with the European living in Zimbabwe. Bladder stone, although much less frequent in the African as compared with the European, is not as uncommon as renal and ureteral calculi, largely, it would appear, because of the frequency with which chronic bilharzial cystitis occurs in the endemic population.
