Abstract

Three cases of facial nerve palsy in neonates are descriptionbed. That the paralysis occurred in the absence of complication or instrumentation and recovered without treatment suggests that the paralysis was transient in nature. There were no associated congenital anomalies. Protection of the cornea from excoriation is the only treatment suggested in such cases.
