Abstract

It has been suspected for over a decade that the labourers and their families living on large commercial farms in Zimbabwe are amongst the worst in the country with regard to health status. Despite the fact that 15% of Zimbabwe's black population live on large commercial farms, (Tickner, 1979) little statistical data is available on their health, educational and socioeconomic status.
