Abstract

Most of us who have travelled by jet to America, Australia or the Far East will have experienced some or all of the symptoms of jet lag. These include diminished alertness, fatigue, insomnia, constipation, irritability and depression. Travellers do not usually investigate the cause of these troublesome symptoms, but put them down to the changes in the ""time zones"".
