Abstract

Two hundred and sixty nine blood donors were examined at Dar es Salaam for the presence of antibodies against parasitic infections with the indirect haemagglutination test. The antibody rates found forooxoplasmosis, amoebiasis. and schistosomiasis were 40.9, 39.0 and 5.2 percent respectively. No linkage was discovered between these infections and the ABO blood group system:
