The impetus for the formation of a curriculum development team for health education in Triangle was mainly derived from recent experiences and observations made by Sue Laver during a farm health worker training project and from a realisation by staff of the health division of Triangle Limited that an improved method of delivery of the health care message in rural Zimbabwean communities was an essential ingredient of an effective promotive health programme.
