Abstract

Twenty-five patients, suspected of having malignant liver diseases, were subjected to blind percutaneous liver biopsy and later peritoneoscopy with target biopsy. Blind biopsy was positive in 20 out of 24 confirmed cases (83.3%). One patient with micronodular liver cirrhosis was confirmed by both blind and target biopsy through peritoneoscopy. The superiority of peritoneoscopy with target biopsy over blind biopsy is confirmed.
