Abstract

Nephrocolic fistula is a relatively uncommon disorder. I In contrast to vesico-alimentary communications, a nephrocolic fistula almost invariably results secondary to a pathological . process of the kidney. Pyonephrosis-tuberculous or otherwise - has by far been the most common renal pathology incriminated in its formation. It is customary to classify such a fistula into spontaneous and traumatic varieties. A case regarded as spontaneous could, however, easily have followed trivial trauma which was overlooked by the patient. We report a case of ""spontaneous left renocolic fistula causally associated with S. haematobium infestation of the urinary tract"".
