Abstract

Surveys to ascertain the immunization status of children living in Harare were carried out over a period of ten days in May/June 1982 and over a period of six weeks in October/November, 1983. Two hundred and six children were examined in 1982 and two hundred and thirty-four in 1983. Eighty-two and a half per cent of children were found to have record cards in the 1982 survey, while in 1983, 88,5% had these records. In 1982, 47,6%of children were considered to be fully immunized and in 1983, 55,6% were fully immunized.
