Abstract

Eight patients with advanced carcinoma of the cervix treated wilh bromocryptine were compared with six cases receiving supportive therapy and paracetamol. The frequency and amount of vaginal bleeding and offensive vaginal discharge were significantly reduced in the treated compared to the control group. There was objective evidence of improvement in the morale of the treated cases. Stasis of the lesion was noted at the end of six months in four out of five treated cases who attended regularly for follow-up.
