Abstract

Presented is a review of 23 cases of mandibular subcondyle fractures. The age and sex distribution of the patients, associated mandibular fractures, and causes of the fractures are descriptionbed. Of the fractures, 95,7 per cent were in males and resulted from assaults. The most commonly associated fracture was mandibular, of the opposite premolar region (17,4%). Treatment was conservative in all cases.
