Abstract

Facio-genito-popliteal syndrome is a very rare anomaly, of which only 57 cases have previously been published in the literature. It was first recorded by Trélat. A recent case report and review of the literature by Hamamoto and Matsumoto notes that the most common abnormalities of the syndrome, occurring in at least 50 percent of patients, are cleft lip, (with or without cleft plate), lip pits, popliteal pterygia (webbing), syndactyly of toes and hypoplastic labia majora.
