Abstract

A retrospective study is presented of 100 trials of labour after a previous caesarian section. According t the obstetrical history sub-groups are compared. Successful vaginal deliveries in the history were not related to a more favourable outcome of the trial, although less major operations were needed, the perinatal mortality was higher. Infection of the previous caesar proved a risk factor for scar dehiscence.
