written by Moeletsi Mbeki is an interesting and introspective book that should be read by anyone who calls himself or herself an African. The author speaks of the structures that were designed to sustain poverty in Africa and which have been kept intact to-date. Interestingly he indirectly identifies Africans themselves as the strong pillars of sustaining poverty, especially the African political elite.
