Abstract

There are many challenges that one faces when starting a business. It is a constant effort to build a base of clients, make decisions on every aspect of the enterprise, develop relationships and keep finances on track. There are many financial decisions that one has to make when running a new venture. It is especially true when you are transitioning from a secured monthly salaried job to creating the money yourself. There is sense of financial insecurity, personal doubt, and fear that you have to overcome on a daily basis.


The one sure thing about owning a small enterprise is that there is no such thing as a sure thing. There is no guarantee that you will succeed. In the United States, nine out of ten businesses fail within the first year of operation.
