Abstract

Governing Africa's Forests in a Globalised World (2010) is the result of a collaborative effort of many different parties in government and university. The authors include foresters, anthropologists, social scientists and geographers. This mix makes the work comprehensive and multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholders approach for drawing implications from the empirical findings for policy and practice. There are two main sections in the work: the first deals with decentralization, livelihoods and sustainable forest management, and the second covers international trade, finance and forest governance reforms.
