Abstract

There are undoubtedly many areas of inquiry missed by conventional scholars of innovation studies in Africa. In Africa, the question of innovation is usually linked to economic growth and development. This is not to affirm that this trajectory is wholly undesirable or in fact over-rehearsed. However, it is also necessary to think of new disciplinary combinations and parameters that bring other fields of expertise into the discipline.
