Forming a farmers' group would be doomed to fail if that group did not have something to offer milk buyers - something that they would consider a value proposition. "Why would any milk buyer consider doing business with a group if the only upshot from the business would be paying a higher price for the milk supplied by the group?" warns Creighton Dairies administrative director, Norman Pattinson.
