The price of dairy products is still on the rise internationally. Locally we still have much less milk than the market requires and buyers have already adapted their producer prices substantially in order to encourage their producers to produce more. Even though milk producers have indicated that they are much more optimistic about prices and price expectations, the largest part of the increase has, since February 2007, been obliterated by sharp increases in food prices.
