Abstract

Heat stress is a major source of production loss in the dairy industry. As temperatures begin to soar throughout the country, many dairy producers will be looking for ways to keep their cows cool and stress-free. Heat stress can occur when the average daily temperature rises above 24°C. When the temperature exceeds 27°C, dry matter intake, milk yield and reproductive performance can decline.
