All indications are that there is enormous growth potential for the dairy industry in both South Africa and the rest of Africa. In the face of this opportunity, it is important for both the primary and secondary sectors to be mindful of the fact that it is not sufficient to simply regard milk as "milk is milk is milk" and to think that approach will bring success in its wake, according to Theo Hendrickse, chief executive officer of Parmalat.
